The ValueChain ownership group brings decades of experience across Nebraska and the Midwest, with expertise spanning real estate law, land development, project management, residential construction, homebuilding, and long- and short-term rentals.

Our diverse backgrounds also include recreational properties, food and beverage, electrical installation, agribusiness, and craft brewing. This broad range of experience gives us a unique perspective and the ability to recognize opportunities others may overlook.

A key member of the ValueChain ownership group, Michael Shan is a University of Nebraska graduate with a double major in Finance and Operational Management, with additional studies in Physics.  Michael's past experience includes sourcing products for Walmart, generating nearly 60% savings on equipment design, manufacturing and sourcing for a graphite mining company and similar savings on equipment design and sourcing for Site One Brewery.  

Michael brings extensive international experience in supply chain development, sourcing, product innovation, and operations across the U.S., China, Australia, and other global markets. He specializes in cross-cultural communication and negotiation, international market intelligence, cost-effective process improvement, and maintaining quality throughout production. A proactive, solutions-oriented leader, Michael is known for quickly identifying and resolving challenges, developing teams through training and coaching, and driving results through collaboration, urgency, and strong follow-through.
