The ValueChain ownership group brings decades of experience across Nebraska and the Midwest, with expertise spanning real estate law, land development, project management, residential construction, homebuilding, and long- and short-term rentals.

Our diverse backgrounds also include recreational properties, food and beverage, electrical installation, agribusiness, and craft brewing. This broad range of experience gives us a unique perspective and the ability to recognize opportunities others may overlook.

A key member of the ValueChain ownership group, Michael Shan is a University of Nebraska graduate with a double major in Finance and Operational Management, with additional studies in Physics.  Michael's past experience includes sourcing products for Walmart, generating nearly 60% savings on equipment design, manufacturing and sourcing for a graphite mining company and similar savings on equipment design and sourcing for Site One Brewery.  

Michael's unique and vast skillset includes the following: 

 •Establishment of new overseas business/relationship & Supply Chains in U.S, China, Australia and other countries;

•Proven ability in sourcing and managing operations for retail and factories in US, Australia and China;

•Proven experience in products innovations, product research, analysis, development and productions

•Instantaneous translation in English and Chinese/Mandarin and other 4 Chinese dialects;

•Cross-cultural understanding and negotiation with follow up and follow through capability;

•Allocating, collecting and analyzing products and marketing intelligence internationally;

•Proactive problem identification and resolution with individuals at all levels;

•Process improvement with focus on cost saving initiatives without sacrificing quality, always!

•Proven ability in development and facilitation of training and coaching processes;

•Filtering, monitoring, and summarizing new information with insightfulness in timely manner;

•Action orientated team player--always the first one running toward chaos with sense of urgency;
